Smashing an unbeaten score of 105, including ten fours and five sixes, in his first twenty20 game against mumbai for syed mushtaq ali trophy, Akshat Reddy , a right-handed opening batsman has gained an appealing recognition. Akshat found motivation in his father, a former volleyball player and was emboldened by him to take up sports seriously. Akshat has displayed a marvellous record of scoring 359 runs at 51 from five matches in the cooch behar trophy, and 316 runs from the same number of matches in the under-22 CK Nayudu Trophy in 2008-09 season.To further add up to his achievements, he was named in the U-19 squad for the 2010 world cup in New Zealand.Akshat draws inspiration from Rahul Dravid and correlates his style of play to Australia’s Michael Hussey.
