Parthiv Patel is an Indian Cricketer. This petite framed yet multi talented cricketer is a Wicket keeper and a left-handed batsman and a member of Indian National Cricket team. Parthiv made his ODI debut against New Zealand in January 2003. He made his test debut in 2002 against England thus becoming the then youngest wicket keeper in Test History at age of 17 years and 152 days, despite still not having played any of the domestic first class matches.
He was a part of 2003 Indian world cup squad but did not get chance to play. He played 13 ODIs in a two year span, and during an interrupted career managed only an average of 14.66 and a top-score of 28 and was dropped thereafter. Parthiv was back with his magic in 2010 in the Indian Team for the fourth and fifth ODI against New Zealand and displayed a magnificent back to back two half centuries. He made his T20 international debut against West Indies when many senior players were rested. He displayed his marvelous batting with 26 off 20 balls in debut match and 56runs in his second match.
Parthiv was selected by Chennai super Kings for the inaugural season of IPL in 2008. For the fourth season of IPL, he was signed by the Kochi Tuskers Kerala and was anointed as the captain of his team. In 2012 IPL 5, he was signed picked by Deccan Chargers for $650000.
